The easiest way I can explain Domestic Mayhem is this:
I want to make home and everyday life easier.
I want you to walk through your front door and actually feel happy to be home.
Not immediately feel stressed looking at everything that needs to be cleaned, organized, fixed, or put away.
I want you to know what’s for dinner without having to stare into the refrigerator at 5 p.m. hoping something magically appears.
I want mornings where you’re not frantically searching for missing shoes, school papers, and the keys you JUST had.
And I want you to be able to sit down at the end of the day and feel good about what you’ve accomplished instead of thinking about the 27 things you didn’t get done.
Not because your life is perfect.
Because things finally feel manageable.
That’s what I’m working toward with Domestic Mayhem. And I want to bring you along with me.
How I Ended Up Here
A few years ago, I had a 13-year-old and an 11-year-old. Life was finally getting a little easier.
The kids were becoming more independent. We were well past the diapers and sleepless nights.
And then I found out I was pregnant.
With twins.
SURPRISE!
So there we were, starting all over again with two babies.
And then I was diagnosed with breast cancer.
Between raising four kids, cancer, surgeries, and everything else life kept throwing our way, things around the house started slipping.
And then they kept slipping.
I fell into a depression that I really struggled to pull myself out of. The laundry piled up, projects went unfinished, things got shoved into closets, and everyday responsibilities became harder to keep up with.
Before I knew it, everything felt completely unmanageable.
And the worst part?
I couldn’t figure out where to start digging myself out.
I’d look around at everything that needed to be done, get overwhelmed, and end up accomplishing almost nothing.
I didn’t want to live like that. I wanted to enjoy my home again. I wanted to feel organized, prepared, and on top of things instead of constantly playing catch-up.
So I started figuring out what needed to change.
Not just how to clean my house, but how to make everyday life run a little smoother.
And that’s where Domestic Mayhem comes from.
I’m still figuring it out. But every time I find something that makes life easier, I want to share it.
Maybe Your Story Looks Different
Maybe you didn’t have surprise twins or go through cancer.
Maybe you went through a divorce, lost someone, struggled with your mental health, or spent years taking care of everyone else.
Or maybe nothing major happened at all.
Life just got busy. One thing led to another, and suddenly everything felt like too much.
I think there are so many women living this way, quietly wondering how everyone else seems to have it together.
Especially when we spend so much time looking at social media.
Remember that trend where people showed “What Instagram sees” versus “Reality”?
I loved that.
Because behind those beautiful photos were laundry piles, cluttered countertops, toys everywhere, and houses that looked like actual people lived in them.
We need more of that.
I love a beautiful Pinterest-worthy house as much as anyone, but let’s be realistic.
We LIVE in our houses.
We have kids, pets, busy schedules, groceries, dirty dishes, and people making messes approximately 30 seconds after we’ve cleaned something.
I don’t want a house that only looks beautiful in pictures.
I want one that feels good to live in.
For My Type B, ADHD, Easily Overstimulated Women
You have a million ideas, 47 unfinished projects, and a running to-do list in your head that never seems to end.
You buy the planners. You make the lists. You get a burst of motivation and decide today’s the day you’re finally going to get everything organized.
Then you get distracted, start six other things, and somehow end up rearranging furniture when you were supposed to be doing laundry.
And sometimes, when everything piles up, you get so overwhelmed that you can’t figure out what to do first.
I know that feeling.
Whether you have ADHD, you’re easily overstimulated, you’re a Type B woman trying to manage a very Type A world, or you’re simply exhausted from remembering everything for everyone…
I want us to stop feeling like we’re constantly one step behind our own lives.
I want systems that make sense for how our brains actually work.
Simple things we can stick with, even when life gets busy.
Not another complicated routine that looks wonderful on paper and falls apart by Wednesday.
I Want Us to Feel Ahead of Life for Once

Imagine starting your week knowing what you’re making for dinner.
The groceries are already in the house. You know what appointments are coming up. The kids have what they need for school.
You’re not scrambling to remember everything because you have a way to keep track of it.
The laundry isn’t necessarily all done, but it’s not taking over your bedroom, either.
And when something unexpected comes up, it doesn’t feel like your entire week is falling apart.
That’s the kind of everyday life I want to create.
Not a perfectly scheduled life where every minute is accounted for.
Just one where we’re not constantly reacting to everything.
Because there’s such a difference between spending your day putting out fires and actually feeling like you’ve got things handled.
And when things feel handled, there’s room for the fun stuff again.
Painting a room. Working in the garden. Trying a new recipe. Having friends over. Or simply sitting down in a home you love without mentally adding another 15 things to your to-do list.
That’s the feeling I’m after.
What You’ll Find Around Here
We’re going to talk about a little bit of everything that goes into making home and life easier.
Easy dinners for nights when you have absolutely no idea what to cook. Grocery and meal planning that doesn’t require hours of preparation.
Cleaning, decluttering, organizing, laundry, schedules, and simple household systems that actually work.
DIY projects, decorating, plants, gardening, and making our homes beautiful without spending a fortune.
And products, tools, and shortcuts that solve real problems. Because if I find something that makes my day easier, you can bet I’m going to tell you about it.
I’ll share what works for me, what doesn’t, and probably a few things that seemed like a great idea at the time.
Because I’m not here pretending I have everything figured out.
I’m figuring it out right alongside you.
Your home is supposed to make your life easier. Your life isn’t supposed to revolve around maintaining your home.
That’s what Domestic Mayhem is all about.
Let’s Make Home Feel Good Again
I want us to get to the point where walking through the front door feels like relief.
Where we can look around and feel proud of our homes, even with toys on the floor and dishes in the sink.
Where dinner isn’t another daily crisis, our schedules aren’t constantly surprising us, and we’re not lying awake trying to remember everything we forgot.
Where we have more time and energy for the people and things we love.
I know we can’t control everything life throws at us.
Believe me, I’ve learned that one.
But I do think we can make a lot of the everyday stuff easier.
And sometimes one little change can make a bigger difference than you’d expect.
That’s what I want to share here.
I’m really glad you found Domestic Mayhem, and I hope you’ll stick around.
Let’s make our homes easier to manage and our lives a whole lot more enjoyable.
